At 15 years old I got mugged at knifepoint.
That led me down a path of wanting to know how to hurt bad people. Which is why I started training in Kung Fu shortly after the mugging.
Kung Fu was the first stop on my violence journey.
Kung Fu originated in China and the culture around it fascinated me. (I later got super into Feudal Japan and read multiple 1,000 page tomes about Samurai.)
The reason I’m talking about Kung Fu and Chinese people is because I learned something fascinating when I was younger.
The Chinese alphabet uses symbols. (You’ve probably seen white people walking around with Chinese symbol tattoos that are supposed to mean something. Sidenote: Sometimes the tattoo artist get the symbol wrong and puts a symbol that says “Chicken Chow Mien” instead of “Hope.”)
The Chinese symbol is the same for Crisis (Danger) and Opportunity:
There’s a reason for this…
Crisis can be seen as crisis. Or it can be seen as an opportunity.
More millionaires are created during crisis and recessions than any other time in history.
This Corona Virus Crisis will cause a lot of bad things to happen. But if you use this time wisely, it can be the biggest opportunity of your life.
I’m not saying this to make light of the awful things that are happening right now.
The world is not an ideal place. I don’t deal with the world as I wish it was. I deal with the world as it is.
The REALITY is you can view this crisis as a crisis.
Or you can see it as an incredible opportunity.
Use this time at home to build a business. Or grow your business.
Or use it work out daily and eat healthier than ever before.
Or use it to meditate daily and start some spiritual practices.
Whatever you’ve been putting off, this is the time to do it.
